Tuesday, August 2, 2022 please come out and support Alba Public School's non-homestead renewal. We are seeking to renew our current non-homestead tax rate to 18 mills. This impacts secondary and vacation homes within the school district. Residents with only one home would continue to pay their existing tax rate. Your support of the school is very much needed in this election. Also, remember to vote on the local school board candidates. We appreciate the support of all our community members and look forward to the work we do with the kids of the Alba community.
Alba Day, Saturday July 30, 2022 bike decorating in the school parking lot at 11:00 a.m. The parade will be held at noon with kids games at 1:00 p.m. free hotdogs, sloppy joes, snow cones and popcorn for everyone. Lemonade and water to drink. Music in the street at 5:30 p.m. Bring you family out to the Alba Memorial Park for a fun filled day!
Alba Public School is pleased to inform the community that the new playground equipment for the Preschool/Kindergarten students is now installed. Pete Hoogerhyde and Wayne Johnloz along with Becky Beagle, Albert Johnloz and Kabela Johnloz did a fantastic job! Please bring you little ones up to play on it.
Alba Public School wanted to remind our students and parents that today, Friday, June 10, 2022 is a half day of school and we will not have an afterschool bus run. As such, parents will need to pick up their student at approximately noon. The bus will be out on the MS/HS fieldtrip. Please join us for the annual community luncheon at 11:30 when you come to pick-up you child.

On Friday, June 10, 2022 we will have a very busy day here at Alba Public School. Many of the Middle School and High School students will be going on a fieldtrip to Michigan Adventure in Muskegon. The elementary will be holding Kindergarten Graduation and Elementary Awards at 10:00 a.m. We will be hosting the annual end of the school year picnic immediately following. Everyone in the community is invited to participate. Due to the bus being gone to Michigan Adventure, we will need parents to make arrangements for their students to get home after the half day of school on June 10, 2022.
Second through sixth grade students were working in a new garden today at school. This particular garden will be located at the Elm Street playground entrance.
Alba Public School had originally scheduled the Elementary Awards Program for Thursday, Jun 2, 2022. Due to the lengthened school year we will be changing the date of the awards program to Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Please come out and support the elementary students on the 10th and join us for the end of the school year picnic following the program.
